HP launched an ISV (independent software vendor) targeted scheme to turn developers into SaaS providers.
Branded as HP ISV2SaaS, HP hopes to connect ISVs to a network of service providers on its Helion cloud platform.
Gilles Thiebaut, vice president, enterprise group indirect sales EMEA, HP, said:"The demand for data sovereignty has slowed down some ISVs in their journeys to the cloud."
"With ready-to-go, standardized services and predefined contracts, HP ISV2SaaS will enable ISVs to change their financials from one-time license sales to ongoing pay-per-use revenue."
The goal of this is to help ISV’s to grow revenue without the need to invest in or manage infrastructure. This will result in them being able to focus application resources on product development.
HP ISV2SaaS provides a set of services to help migrate, transform and run software applications in a SaaS model without needing to manage and run the end-to-end stack.
