Amazon UK has launched new unlimited storage plans which allow users to upload and store infinite amounts of data including photos, videos, movies, music and other files.
The new unlimited storage service has been given a flat price of £55 per year. Eligible customers can apply for a free three-month trial.
Amazon says that with this plan, users will not have to worry about storage limits while keeping their data safe and secure. The files can be downloaded with their original size and resolution.
According to Amazon, the new unlimited storage plan, priced at less than £5 per month, is an ideal way for backing up and storing infinite amounts of data on Amazon Drive.
Files can be auto saved by customers either through their mobile devices or personal computer and can be accessed at full resolution from nearly any device.
Amazon Prime members who already have access to unlimited photo storage, can now easily avail Amazon’s Unlimited Storage plan to their Amazon Drive.
Existing Amazon Drive customers can also opt for Unlimited Storage by logging into their Amazon Drive accounts and opting for Unlimited Storage trial.
Amazon Drive director David Nenke said: “Most people have a lifetime of photos from birthdays, holidays and everyday moments stored across numerous devices—and a lot of those people don’t know how many gigabytes they need to back all those memories up, or what it’s going to cost.
“With our new Unlimited Storage plan, that’s no longer something customers need to worry about. They now have an affordable, secure solution to store unlimited amounts of photos, videos, movies, music, and other files in one place—with no tiered storage options or rising fees to worry about.”
