Amazon will be expanding its Irish data centre footprint with the construction of a €100 million site in Dublin.

The hub will be the company’s third data centre at the Blanchardstown Business and Technology Park, according to the Irish Independent.

The facility will be built by Aecom and is projected to be 170,000 sq ft.

Amazon first set its presence in the business park in 2010, and brought its second data centre in the region online this year.

Data centre investments in Ireland are expected to top €3.7 billion with at least 18 companies (including AWS, Microsoft, Google, IBM, Equinix, and others) planning to enter and/or expand their Irish footprint.
