Running between October 12-14, Software AG’s Innovation World 2015 is an event which promises to "stand out in the Digital World".
CBR list five key events of this year’s edition.
1. webMethods Agile Process Platform
Scheduled to be available in Q1 2016, Software AG will showcase its latest product – webMethods Agile Process Platform – in Las Vegas.
The company said the platform combines the ability to create process, workflow and case management applications, while also enabling citizen developers to easily cooperate with strategic IT developers.
It also said that the product allows users to keep their options open by programming applications in a way that is adaptable and flexible, allowing them to be transferred into the IT portfolio and integrated into the existing IT environment without needing to be redeveloped.
2. Disney comes to Vegas
Entertainment company Walt Disney will be attending Innovation World to discuss implementing an event driven, API-enabled, identity repository.
Disney speakers include Nicole Holmes, manager for identity and access management, and Walter Speelman, Sr. security specialist.
The keynote will overlook the company’s implementation of APIs that allow it to link people, places and things. The Walt Disney Company, with 1.5 million employees and contractors, found a way to not just manage identity information but to make it a strategic asset by centralising the data and implementing an event-driven API-enabled identity repository.
3. IoT: Making the Industrial Internet Work for You
Presented by Greg Gorbach, VP information-driven manufacturing at ARC Advisory, the keynote will look at use cases for the IoT, Industry 4.0 and the Industrial Internet.
Mainly aimed at the manufacturing industry, Gorbach will cover a series of IoT use cases and explain how companies can deliver a ‘bang’ to their business by using smarter and more efficient IoT methods.
He will also speak on where businesses should start with their transformation and whether if organisations will need to rip and replace their current thinking.
4. Digital transformation
Under the motto "Digital World", Software AG’s Innovation World 2015 is very much focused around digital transformation.
Throughout the three day event, over half of keynotes are dedicated to business digitalisation in different sectors including the financial, media, IT and retail spaces.
Discussions around adopting could and getting into the IoT world will be headed by companies like EDF, Deloitte, Logrand, MWD Advisors, DirecTV, and DSM.
Software AG will also host a series of keynotes with its executives to talk digital transformation, how to build joint go-to-market solutions, and how to fight the skills shortage.
5. The Unmissable Roadshow Series: Journey to the Cloud
Powered by AWS, Software AG will be bringing to Las Vegas its worldwide event, The Unmissable Roadshow Series: Journey to the Cloud.
Having previously toured in cities like Singapore, Sidney, London or Stockholm, the roadshow debuts in North America on October 12.
The series of workshops focus around cloud adoption, cloud computing rends and digital transformation with four specific keynotes to attend: Journey to the Cloud and how to master digital transformation; Business transformation; IT transformation; and Innovative business models worldwide.
