Twitter is a great way to keep abreast of what’s going on in the tech world. Why not enhance your feed by adding the tweets of these analysts who give you a great overview of their specialist areas, from cloud and big data to social media and digital business.
Nigel Fenwick – Forrester
If you’re a CIO – Fenwick is your go-to-guy on Twitter, covering all things on digital business in his blog. He’s keen on social media too and is on the pulse of all things Twitter/Facebook/YouTube/Google+ (you get the idea).
Matt Eastwood – IDC
Ever flying the flag for IDC and its findings, Eastwood frequently posts thought-provoking facts on servers and cloud and is great at giving the low-down on the many industry events he attends.
Michael Fauscette – IDC
Fauscette has a great Feedly RSS feed, which means you don’t have to! He shares interesting news stories as well as his views on the latest tech trends, giving him a very comprehensive Twitter feed.
Paul Hamerman – Forrester
Hamerman is a great story-teller on Twitter, following through on updates on the latest stories in comprehensible tweets to give you all the facts.
Doug Laney – Gartner
The man behind the ‘3 V’s of Big Data’, Laney is a fountain of knowledge on all things data and analytics. He shares Gartner’s research as well as his own views, which have recently been focussed on his newly self-originated topic of Infonomics.
Lydia Leong – Gartner
As her Twitter handle would suggest, Lydia knows her stuff when it comes to cloud. She isn’t afraid to interact with followers either, often getting into discussions and debates.
Clive Longbottom – Quocirca
Longbottom has been in the Twitter game for a good few years and his experience shows. He knows how to comically interact with his followers and isn’t afraid to tweet his mind on the current tech topics.
Patrick Moorhead – Moor Insights & Strategies
Moorhead is great at sparking an issue on Twitter and letting it ignite into a debate. He’s definitely one to follow to see the arguments surrounding controversies in tech.
Matt Aslett – The 451
As well as keeping his Twitter feed updated with 451 news, Aslett is good at giving his followers a broad perspective on what is going on within the wider tech world.
Jason Stamper – The 451
This may be a slightly biased recommendation as Stamper is CBR’s former editor. But his background here means he has a good handle on what is going on in the tech industry as a whole as well as offering useful insight on his new area of expertise: Bid Data and IoT.
