We’ve all been there – one minute you are sitting at your desk working away on your computer quite happily and then a message pops on to the screen warning of a network error. Then it crashes. A report carried out by Black Box catalogue Ltd has revealed that network crashes cause 20m days of lost productivity in the UK alone, every year. The report is working on the basis that each organization has on average six major network crashes a year, leading to three hours downtime. The report also discovered that a quarter of UK organizations in the UK suffer a major network crash at least once a month, with one in five crashes leading to half a day downtime, or more.
