Sparkle Computer, a VGA card manufacturer and supplier, has launched the Calibre CUTi, a small form factor PC features integrated Intel Atom Dual-Core 1.6GHz processor, Nvidia ION platform and the Calibre quiet technology.
The company said that its new Calibre CUTi thin PC comes with energy-saving feature with idle power consumption of 14W and maximum power consumtion of 30W, saving nearly 90% of power compared with traditional PC’s.
The Calibre CUTi features allow users to communicate with VOIP using the optional webcam, and playback HD video using hardware acceleration based on built-in PhysX, CUDA technology, by connecting to large-screen flat-panel television.
According to Sparkle, the Calibre CUTi provides high definition 1080p playback and digital surround sound for various multimedia formats. The full loading working noise of the Calibre CUTi is 26dB, the idle standby noise is down to 3dB. The built-in ION 9400 GPU is capable of handling 1080p content, DirectX 10.
The Calibre CUTi comes with built-in 160G/320G SATA hard drive (maximum support 500GB), and supports for SSD solid-state hard drive, and up to 4GB DDR2 memory. The graphics performance of built-in 9400 graphics chip is 10 times more than traditional graphics performance, the company claims.
The Calibre CUTi supports multiple interfaces and connections and comes with built-in 802.11n wireless LAN and ethernet interface. Its additional I/O ports include mini-audio jack, coaxial and optical fiber output, 5 in1 card reader, bluetooth, DVI-I, headphones, microphone and 6 USB ports.
