Her Majesty’s Revenue & Customs, which won a $122m settlement on Tuesday from EDS Corp for the company’s failure in implementing a tax credit system in 2003, has brought in SCC to replace its rival Computacenter. SCC chairman and CEO, Peter Rigby, said the deal is the company’s largest to date, and was won in the face of fierce competition.
SCC and Computacenter have been concentrating on moving away from its hardware supplier origins towards higher margin services business in recent years. Earlier this week Computacenter revealed that it is considering an MBO that would take the company private.
