Prime Computer (UK) Ltd is to supply Marconi Defence Systems with a computer-aided engineering system for electronic circuit design and logic simulation: the order comprises 16 Cadds 4X workstations running schematic design software integrated with Cadat 7 and Saber 2.2 applications packages; also included is the Cats hardware modelling system and the Intelligen knowledge-based ATGP software to verify the design of printed circuit boards containing full and semi-custom VLSI devices and a mixture of digital and analogue technologies; the Cadds 4Xs are Sun 3 machines, and Cadat, Cats, and Intelligen come from HBB Systems Inc, which is owned by Racal Redac.
