According to the agreement, PricewaterhouseCoopers and Glemser will co-market GMPharmaTM and a range of related delivery services. GMPharma, a scalable Internet solution for managing regulatory-controlled content across the pharmaceutical value chain, was developed by PricewaterhouseCoopers and Documentum and launched in the US in June. The solution provides the pharmaceutical industry with an out-of-the-box e-business platform for enterprise-wide management of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) regulated content. GMPharma offers a common infrastructure with built-in enterprise-wide controls that enables critical content to be developed and shared between all related contributors across the pharmaceutical value chain, from the product innovation process to final commercialization.
Doug Dean, partner for PricewaterhouseCoopers Content Management practice said in a press release, Glemser is known and respected in the pharmaceutical industry as a leader in implementing and validating global, Web-based content management and e-business solutions. The combination of Glemser’s depth of experience in this area along with PricewaterhouseCoopers pharmaceutical industry knowledge and consulting experience will provide leading drug manufacturers with a single source for their complete compliance engineering needs.
PricewaterhouseCoopers has designated Glemser as its preferred GMPharma Systems co-integrator. Glemser will initially focus on implementation and validation services for pharmaceutical clients in areas of manufacturing, sales and marketing. Prior to performing GMPharma services, Glemser will participate in the PricewaterhouseCoopers accreditation program and receive certification for their resources.
Dr Raymond G. Glemser, president of Glemser Technologies Corporation said This joint effort with PricewaterhouseCoopers will expand our ability to help our customers effectively manage their regulatory-controlled content. As a result, our pharmaceutical clients may accelerate their time-to-market, lower the cost of compliance, and reduce their operational costs.
