Phoenix, an IT Services company, has entered into a 10-year agreement with Colt, an European information delivery platform provider, to meet growing demand from its sales partners for secure, cost effective and energy efficient data centres.
Under the agreement, Phoenix will occupy 500sqm Modular Data Centre within Colt’s London-3 facility, which will enable Phoenix to expand its services to its network of partners in the UK and throughout Europe.
The Modular Data Centre will provide Phoenix with their own Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) plant demarcation and their own complete security control, delivering the benefits of a dedicated data centre within a shared facility, said the company.
Phoenix IT services managing director Paul Parrish said the company has been looking to expand their data centre footprint for some time and the combination of time-to-delivery, high energy efficiency and quality of operation set Colt’s Modular Data Centre apart.
Colt data centre services executive vice-president Bernard Geoghegan said customers like Phoenix are increasingly recognising that the Modular Data Centre’s unique design provides a flexible, energy efficient offering that can expand to support a growing business with changing energy, space and power demands.
