ooVoo has extended its video and audio communication service to mobile devices. The company now offers video chat on three platforms, downloadable software on a desktop or laptop; web calling without a download; and on mobile devices.
Since 2007, ooVoo has evolved its offering to meet consumer and business demand with the launch of six-way video calling for PCs, ooVoo for Mac, web-based and high-resolution video calling, and its newly introduced small business plan which includes desktop sharing. In early 2008, ooVoo previewed high-definition (HD) video communication which allows users to conduct HD video calls on TV’s using standard computers.
Video call service for mobile devices features technology that adapts calls to changing bandwidths and fluctuating network connectivity. In addition, it offers seamless experience whether connecting from a PC or Mac, the web, or mobile devices, the company claims.
Philippe Schwartz, CEO of ooVoo, said: ooVoo anywhere, anytime has been the vision for our video calling service since we launched the company in 2007. With more consumers and businesses using Smartphones and Smartbooks for mobility and productivity and with the increased bandwidth capabilities of 4G networks, we can now bring our high-quality video calling to these mobile devices.
