Ntirety, a remote DBA services company, has unveiled Ntrust v.4, the new version of database administration platform that enables the company to remotely and securely service customers’ databases.

Ntirety said that the new platform acts as a gateway and toolbox for the company’s database administrators, who securely monitor and maintain customer databases. It is available as a virtualised offering to meet the demands of customers utilising cloud computing and seeking green technology options.

According to Ntirety, the new platform allows its DBAs to securely log into a customer’s database with full accountability. The new platform also ensures that the performance monitoring of a client’s environment is never stealing CPU cycles from customer production applications; and tracks database performance, providing insight into database use and trends.

The company said that the new platform meets compliance standards, such as HIPAA, PCI and SOX.

Michael Corey, CEO and founder of Ntirety, said: “Ntirety’s Ntrust virtual meets the needs of our customers who are increasingly seeking to virtualise their computing environment for server consolidation and to reduce electricity consumption, both in powering and cooling servers.”
