Nixdorf Computer Leasing SA, the leasing subsidiary set up by Nixdorf Computer France just over a year ago, yes-terday reported a turnover figure for 1988 equivalent to $24m. The company claims a growing customer base spanning small and medium-sized fir-ms, financial institutions, distribution, industry and large parent accounts. The combined European leasing subsidiaries of Nixdorf Computer AG, principally West Germany, Spain and France, wrote some $224m worth of leasing business during 1989, split 59% and 41% respectively between Germany and the rest of Europe. However, the French arm contributed a greater proportion of hardware-based revenue than any of the other subsidiaries, including West Germany. For 1989, the leasing groups have set themselves a target of some $286m, and aim to gene-rate at least 50% outside their native countries.
