The prize for the most unwieldy name for a new product must surely go to Newbridge Networks Inc, which has launched the 5603 MainStreet Accumaster Integrator Alarm Interface, designed to enable users of AT&T Co’s Accumaster Integrator to monitor and maintain large network domains containing Newbridge products: it works by providing a direct management link between the Newbridge Sparcstation-based 4602 MainStreet Intelligent NetworkStation and the Accumaster Umbrella Management System, which helps Accumaster operators to determine the health and status of the network, and includes alarm reporting of network hardware and associated facility failures, and security alarms to flag possible tampering.
