Japanese Internet, broadband network and enterprise business applications provider NEC has completed the acquisition of CSG’s Technology Solutions business for $227m, following Foreign Investment and Review Board (FIRB) approval.
The transaction includes all of CSG’s Technology Solutions business, which provides several IT applications and services, including managed services, enterprise services and strategic consulting.
CSG’s acquisition will help NEC broaden its capability in high growth services, such as ERP, CRM, Business Intelligence, managed services and cloud-based business applications.
The acquisition will enable NEC Australia to gain enhanced service capabilities for Federal public sector opportunities and an enhanced physical presence in all states around the country.
Today’s move by NEC will give it an annual revenues of over $400m and a workforce of around 1550, the company said.
The acquired business will operate as an independent business unit of NEC Australia with senior executives reporting directly to NEC Australia MD Alan Hyde.
