Management Science America Inc is cosying up to IBM with agreements on electronic data interchange and DB2 applications. On the former, it has become an IBM Authorised Application Specialist for co-operative marketing of its Expert Electronic Data Interchange software with the IBM Information Network. The Expert EDI software will use IBM’s IEHost communications software to enable traders to link to Information Network to exchange invoices and such. On the DB2 front, the Atlanta firm, which claims to be the first software company to deliver a DB2-based system to the beta test stage, is also an IBM Application Specialist, and says its General Ledger and Expert Reporting products for DB2 became available on September 1, and are in use at three CICS and one IMS/DC DB2 user sites.
