Token Ring manufacturer Madge Networks, has signed an agreement with Novell Inc, giving it access to NetWare protocols IPX, SPX and Novell’s NetBIOS; it will enable the company, based in Chalfont St Giles, Buckinghamshire to react more quickly to software upgrades: Madge says the agreement complements its links with Microsoft’s LAN Manager, for which it wrote the software protocols in back in 1988.
