High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire-based LIS Ltd has unveiled a series of 2.4GHz Spread Spectrum systems. First up is the 6410 Access Point, a wireless local bridge that provides protocol-independent access for LIS Radio Data Terminals into Ethernet local area networks. Also announced are two Spread Spectrum Radio Data Terminals: the 1330 Explorer, an industrial 80486 personal computer used as a truck-mounted or mobile RF computer running MS-DOS and Windows; and the 2320 Scout, a MS-DOS-based integrated scanning Radio Data Terminal. The 6410 and 1330 are out now, priced from ú2,500 and ú3,500 respectively, while the 2320 is released next month, starting from ú2,000.
