Keynote Systems, a provider of Internet and mobile cloud monitoring, and ExtraHop Networks, a provider of network and application performance management (APM) offerings, have launched a joint offering that provides companies with both synthetic and real-time transaction analysis from the end-user across the entire datacentre.
The joint offering provides companies a complete picture of the performance of their business-critical applications in real time through Keynote’s Open APM strategy.
The Keynote Open APM allows customers to integrate the company’s external website measurements with the internal APM offering of their choice.
In addition, the Keynote and ExtraHop offerings are complementary, with Keynote providing the outside-looking-in view of critical web applications, while ExtraHop provides the agentless inside-looking-out view of the datacentre.
The Keynote detects high-latency conditions or errors affecting end-user experience and ExtraHop provides the information needed about back-end components that are running slowly or failing.
The companies said that the joint offering combines proactive external monitoring with passive datacentre monitoring for end-to-end problem detection and root-cause analysis in a plug-and-play package.
Keynote product management and corporate development vice president Vik Chaudhary said the network-centric view of application performance offered by ExtraHop adds passive real-time insight into the components delivering these web applications, such as application servers, databases, and storage.
"The unique value ExtraHop brings, combined with Keynote monitoring, results in a joint turn-key offering that provides a comprehensive view from end-user experience to root cause of performance-affecting problems," Chaudhary said.
