The company said IPv6 support is now available in the ScreenOS software for NetScreen-5XT, 204, 208 and 500 appliances, and that the high-end 5200 appliances will support it later in July.
The dual-stack architecture allows for v4-to-v6 and v6-to-v4 translation, as well as tunneling one version of IP over the other, the firm said. It also supports network address translation and MPLS, the company said.
