Japan based data-centre provider IDC Frontier has selected HP Networking applications to enhance its network infrastructure to meet the demand for cloud services.
The company has selected HP networking applications as it needed to enhance its network infrastructure to accommodate more users for its new on-demand public cloud offering, NOAH Self Type.
HP 5820 Switch Series enables increased network bandwidth across the IDC Frontier’s nine data centres throughout Japan.
IDC Frontier connected its data centres using the HP Intelligent Resilient Framework, an HP virtualisation technology that allows multiple switches to operate as a single switch.
The HP framework helps IDC Frontier to provide direct connections to meet customer demand by simplifying network operation.
IDC Frontier director Yutaka Shindo said the company needed to upgrade its existing network to keep pace with the growing market for cloud computing throughout Japan.
