Greenpacket, a leading developer of next generation mobile broadband and carrier offerings, has has expanded its portfolio WiMAX modem portfolio with the launch of Wave 2 compliant WiMAX modems. The two new models support 2.3GHz, 2.5GHz and 3.5GHz frequencies.
The company’s line-up includes DX WiMAX Indoor VoIP modem or Tower. The Tower features omni directional antennas offering built-in VoIP support to give WiMAX Operators the opportunity to up sell voice services. It is suitable for home and Soho users and is a plug and play device.
In addition, the company also launched the WiMAX USB High Gain Modem, known as the Shuttle. The Shuttle supports both fixed and nomadic WiMAX. Its 5dBi omni antenna radiates and receives signals from any direction and automatically selects the best antenna to improve signal strength for better uplink performance. With 25dBm transmission power, it can deliver quality service both indoors and outdoors.
According to Greenpacket, the Shuttle is fitted with a suction cup to fix the modem to a window or wall. An accompanying 5meter USB cable gives users the flexibility of sitting away from the window yet getting a strong WiMAX signal.
