In partnership with Novell Inc, Dialogic Corp, Parsippany, New Jersey has developed a new NetWare Loadable Module for its D/41D voice processing system. The NetWare Loadable Module is designed to enable software developers to add speech processing capabilities in native NetWare environments. Dialogic said that the new NetWare Loadable Module can be used in conjunction with the NetWare TSAPI Telephony Services Application Programming Interface, fitting in with Novell’s plan to introduce an open application programming interface and shared voice-hardware architecture for the integration of speech services within NetWare Telephony Services (CI No 2,785). Further promoting this plan, the two companies have also entered into a strategic partnership to educate and train computer resellers in the computer-telephony market. The companies say they will jointly promote computer-integrated telephony applications, and assist value added resellers and system integrators in the area: this programme is due to begin at the start of 1996. A Dialogic spokesman said that one of the main benefits for the company is that, while its CT computer-integrated telephony partners have traditionally been characterised as small c, capital T, the partnership with Novell gives its access to a breed of value-added resellers that are decidedly big C, little t.
