DecisionOne, a partner to IT services providers, said that it has closed the acquisition of the MVS division of Anacomp, a privately held diversified IT and business services company headquartered in San Diego, California.
DecisionOne said that the transaction is consistent with its strategy of acquiring business in its core areas of operation to enhance the company’s ability to provide low-cost IT support services. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
According to DecisionOne, approximately 200 Anacomp employees are joining it, including a geographically distributed team of field technicians and staff from all functional areas of the company. The acquisition also brings with it approximately 750 Anacomp customers.
The company said, Anacomp brings expertise in supporting data centre output, storage and network devices and expects the business combination to add more than 10% growth to its top line and enhance its organic growth prospects through account relationships.
Neal Bibeau, president and chief executive officer of DecisionOne, said: This acquisition brings together professionals from two companies that share the common vision of providing superior, low-cost IT support services that deliver tremendous business value for our customers.
“The combination reinforces DecisionOne’s already strong capabilities in output devices and significantly enhances the company’s capabilities in data centre storage and converged communications equipment, while strengthening our overall leadership position in IT infrastructure support.
