Data Access UK Ltd, Watford, Hertfordshire, has introduced DataFlex Server Edition, a client-server offering for DataFlex high level language applications. Data Access claims the product is one of the first to give users the ability to re-deploy dumb terminals as clients and, as a result, offer protection to existing hardware in the move to client-server. The initial release is for most Unixes and OS/2, while clients currently available include all of the above plus MS-DOS. DataFlex Server includes enhanced integrity, security, scalability and the ability to tailor system resources to fit the requirements of the user. Data Access UK is a subsidiary of Data Access Corp, which is based in Miami.
