Credo cards, the Russian Visa cards issued by the Moscow based Credo bank, are to be distributed by Permcombank, Perm. Visa cards have been available since February 3 to holders that deposit $10,000 but another $10,000 must be invested in an insurance fund. Transactions through Permcombank will be transmitted to Credobank via Sprint Net for clearing. For obvious reasons, neither bank has been overwhelmed with requests for Credo cards – Menatep Commercial Bank for Innovation says there are few more than 100 Credo cards currently in use.
