Cisco Systems Inc, Menlo Park, California reports that British Telecommunications Plc has installed a 120-strong network of routers in order to tie its corporate management information, and business systems together: the internetwork will also provide access to network administration computers used to control the public switched telephone network; is British Telecom using Frame Relay to link the 50 local area networks? Err, no – dedicated links actually, although the company says that it hopes to use Frame Relay in the future; the value of the order was not given.
