BAE Systems Applied Intelligence has won the People’s Lovie Award for Best Government and Civic website in recognition of its work transforming Transport for London’s (TfL) digital presence.

The Lovie Awards are a pan-European award to honour content created for the internet. The TfL site has been recognised in two categories in the 2014 awards; with the Government and Civic category being awarded to BAE Systems Applied Intelligence, and TfL also receiving an award in the best user experience category.

BAE Systems Applied Intelligence worked with TfL to transform its journey planner service in tandem with the creation of a updated website.

The TfL website receives nearly 250 million visits a year, making it one of the most highly visited transportation sites in the world.
Julian Cracknell, Managing Director of UK Services at BAE Systems Applied Intelligence, said: "Millions of people rely on TfL every day to get them to the right place at the right time – whether Londoners, business visitors or tourists.

Providing up to the minute travel information and reliable journey planning tools makes this a much easier process and we are delighted that the new website that we helped TfL to deliver is making a real difference to people’s lives. This award is recognition of the real impact that digital transformation projects can have when they combine great design with a customer-focused approach."
