The new offices are located at 2010 North First Street in San Jose, California. The new headquarters is expected to house the company’s staff of engineers, a development lab, support staff and executive management team. Arasan said that it expanded its staff in 2008 to support the growing business opportunities.
Kevin Yee, vice president of marketing at Arasan Chip Systems, said: 2008 was a challenging but spectacular year with some significant new customers for Arasan. We are very excited to be moving into our new home in San Jose. The newer and larger facility will allow us to continue to grow in 2009 while maintaining the high level of service and personal touch our customers are accustomed to receiving.
Earlier in December, Arasan has announced the availability the silicon-proven Mobile Industry Processor Interface (MIPISM) D-PHY IP. The Arasan D-PHY is a serial communications cell optimized for implementing the physical layer of the MIPI Display Serial Interface, Camera Serial Interface and UniPro protocol. It addresses the low power consumption, small form factor, and multi-function design challenges of the mobile device market.
