Technology services and outsourcing company Accenture has signed five-year outsourcing agreements with the banking firm Banco Popolare Group and financing leases firm Alba Leasing.
Under this agreement, Accenture will provide application management and infrastructure services to support the two companies’ leasing operations.
In addition, under a separate agreement, Accenture will acquire Banca Italease’s Itaca Service. Banca Italease is a subsidiary of Banco Popolare Group and the Itaca Service provides IT services to the Group’s leasing companies and to Alba Leasing.
Banco Popolare’s and Alba’s entire leasing applications portfolio, including leasing products management and regulatory reporting applications will be developed, maintained and supported by Accenture.
In addition, the IT infrastructure for Banco Popolare’s and Alba’s leasing operations, including remote management and support, data centre operations, network and deskside support services will be managed by Accenture.
Accenture serves the leasing industries through Accenture Credit Services, which are designed to bring significant improvements to customer experience, efficiency, quality, and profitability for lenders and servicers.
Banco Popolare Group chief operating officer Ottavio Rigodanza said it’s important for Banco Popolare Group to ensure its leasing applications and infrastructure are aligned with its business strategy, while optimising overall IT costs.

Alba Leasing Organization and Human Resources Department head Samuele Marconcini said as Alba Leasing is always looking to improve its services and efficiency for its clients, this operation will ensure better market positioning, while Accenture’s support and capabilities will strengthen the overall service quality and professional outputs.
Accenture banking industry practice Italy managing director Franco Turconi said these agreements will help drive greater business agility and continuous IT improvement and innovation for both companies.
