ThoughtWorks Studios, a provider of application lifecycle management (ALM) and software development tools, has launched Adaptive ALM, a new product which it claims to help organisations streamline and automate the entire software development lifecycle.
The company said that Adaptive ALM has been developed through the integration of its three products, Mingle (project management), Twist (test automation) and Cruise (release management). The new product supports from requirements definition and portfolio management to test automation, quality assurance and release management.
According to ThoughtWorks, Adaptive ALM provides stakeholder visibility to provide both management and development teams with real-time visibility across the development; requirements management for timely capture, management, prioritisation and tracking of business objectives; and manages quality driven software development from requirements gathering to development and release.
ThoughtWorks said that the new product allows teams to track business value throughout the development lifecycle through detailed project history at the story level, shared virtual project wall, auditable deployments and traceable story transitions.
Cyndi Mitchell, managing director of ThoughtWorks Studios, said: Adaptive ALM helps manage change and improves certainty of business outcome through collaboration and engineering best practices, like continuous integration, automated testing and refactoring, to help our customers minimize defects, eliminate waste, improve responsiveness and, ultimately, release better software faster.
