Tewkesbury, Massachusetts-based Avid Technology Inc has now completed acquisition of Basys Automation Systems Ltd here in the UK and privately held SofTech Systems Inc in separate deals for a total of $5.5m in cash and stock: both companies lose their identities and disappear into Avid, the firm said.
