Technology services giant Accenture is to open its latest Technology Lab in Dublin, adding to its network of facilities, and expanding its research and development agenda in the artificial intelligence (AI) space.
AI will be embedded across Accenture’s businesses. Accenture Digital will develop cognitive computing, machine and deep learning, natural language processing, data augmentation and predictive analytics. Accenture Operations will use AI to improve both front and back office operations. Accenture Technology will add it to its architectures, tooling and service management analysis solutions, while Accenture consulting will design and scale AI offerings across various industries.
Paul Daugherty, Accenture’s chief technology officer said: "We are investing early to drive more innovation at Accenture, recruit top talent in every location we operate in, and infuse more intelligence across our global business to help clients accelerate the integration of intelligence and automation to transform their businesses."
The move, designed to boost the firm’s R&D agenda, is also be part of its commitment to its Centre of Innovation in Dublin, into which will plough a total of €25.
