Kintetsu and Capstan Systems will build a one-stop shop for integrated logistics in Asia.
Freight forwarder Kintetsu World Express has joined Capstan Systems’ Connected Alliance Program. The partnership brings together Kintetsu’s Asian-focused logistics services with Capstan’s supply chain execution systems and infrastructure, with the aim of providing customers with a one-stop shop Internet technology and logistics services package.
Since eCommerce began sweeping across the logistics industry, players have attempted to develop supply chain integration solutions. The leading global operators have been racing to develop the applications that will differentiate them from their peers. This goal has often led to partnerships between logistics companies and software developers, but an alliance such as this one, which encompasses the operations of all partners in the supply chain, takes the relationship a step further.
This new partnership means Capstan can offer extra value-added services to its existing global customers. It also provides an important step towards developing new markets in Kintetsu’s core markets of Japan, China and the Pacific Rim. For Kintetsu, the partnership means further development of its eBusiness initiatives, as well as enhanced execution of its current logistics services. So the alliance will strengthen both partners’ product offerings, as well as their position in the global eCommerce and logistics markets, leaving them well placed for global logistics success.
