Yammer

Yammer’s integration with social media management system, Hootsuite, now allows employees to manage their social media communication while logged into Hootsuite.

Yammer users can also post updates, attatchments and search for content from their Yammer networks within Hootsuite.

"The integration of Yammer demonstrates the increasing role of social collaboration in business, said Ryan Holmes, CEO of HootSuite. "As companies grow, employees become increasingly decentralized from one another and rely on multiple tools like Yammer to work through and complete projects," said Ryan Holmes, CEO of HootSuite.

The collaboration between the two social business systems aims to save employees time while keeping them focused on engagement.

Community managers can now respond to a tweet that appears on Hootsuite, post in Yammer’s feed to get feedback and then respond to the customer on Hootsuite without switching between the two networks.

"By continuing to integrate with the leading enterprise applications employees rely on to do their jobs, Yammer is delivering on its vision to be the social layer across all enterprise applications," said Jim Patterson, chief product officer, Yammer. "Our open ecosystem offers an unlimited potential for innovative partner integrations to come."

Yammer was recently purchased by Microsoft for $1.2bn. Microsoft has said that Yammer will still be an individual service.
The company will be a key factor in moving Microsoft into the cloud and social media arena.

"Yammer adds a best-in-class enterprise social networking service to Microsoft’s growing portfolio of complementary cloud services," said Microsoft in a statement.
