Recognition Systems Group Plc, the Birmingham, UK-based provider of neural-based customer information systems, believes it has found a springboard into the global internet commerce marketplace after getting a major contract from web authoring software company Macromedia Inc. The deal, worth $500,000 over the next year, will involve integrating Recognition’s campaign management software Ideas Solution with Broadvision Inc’s web-based marketing software. Recognition Systems had to raise another 3m pounds in December 1998 to strengthen a weak balance sheet after poor results last year left the company with 2.2m pound losses on revenues which rose only 1.9% to 788,000 pounds (CI No 3,555).
