Business communications and collaboration systems, software and services provider Avaya has upgraded its collaboration lineup with Aura Conferencing 7.0. and expansion of Avaya Flare Experience to Apple iPad tablets and Microsoft Windows-based PCs and laptops.
Avaya Aura Conferencing 7.0 and Avaya Flare Experience streamlines the collaboration with all-in-one audio/web conferencing integrated into unified communications.
The company has also released the version 6.2 of its Avaya Aura unified communications platform and expanded mobility for the Avaya Communication Server 1000 (CS1000).
Avaya Aura Conferencing 7.0 is a collaboration application that enables session-based, unified voice and web collaboration from anywhere using desktop Macs or PCs, tablets and smartphones.
Release 7.0 leverages the collaboration user interface of the Avaya Flare Experience on the iPad and Microsoft Windows PCs for communications and multimodal collaboration, including voice, document sharing, instant messaging, email and directories.
The new collaboration application includes a zero-install, Collaboration Agent client that collaborates participants using any Web browser or iPhone, and that works with the Avaya Flare Experience clients on iPad tablets and Windows PCs/laptops.
It also includes visual and contextual controls that eliminate the disruptions of traditional conference sessions, such as announcing or identifying attendees, background noise, speaker identification, etc.
Aura Conferencing 7.0 can scale up to 7,500 active conferencing sessions involving workers located anywhere and offers a distributed, open architecture and built-in intelligence that helps reduce, manage bandwidth usage.
The new Aura conferencing application is supported by the open, standards-based SIP architecture of Avaya Aura 6.2 to enable the flexibility needed for mobile collaboration and BYOD environment.
It can connect to either Avaya Aura Communication Manager or Avaya CS 1000 systems.
Avaya CS 1000 customers can now add an Avaya Aura-based Collaboration Pack, a single server application that brings SIP capabilities of Avaya Aura and mobility choices to CS 1000 users.
The Avaya Aura-based Collaboration Pack includes Avaya Flare Communicator and Avaya one-X Mobile SIP for iOS.
