Information and communications technology (ICT) applications provider Huawei ha signed an agreement with SAP to establish it as a Chinese Global Technology Partner.

The partnership will enhance the technical integration and support for both companies, builds an interoperability competency centre and carries joint sales, marketing activities worldwide.

SAP and Huawei will work together help customers accelerate application development, reduce the overall cost of ownership, improve flexibility and operating efficiency with an end-to-end integrated system.

The companies will also provide integrated products with enhanced availability and scalability, enhancing customers’ insights from enterprise information.

In addition, the joint applications from SAP, Huawei will help customers reduce implementation and operation costs based on the optimisation of infrastructures and software applications.

SAP China president Hera Siu said the collaboration with Huawei will enable it to offer integrated applications to help global customers reduce implementation costs and improve profitability.

"We also hope our partnership will provide SAP the opportunity to work with more Chinese enterprises and deepen our cooperation with China’s entire IT ecosystem; thereby advancing our global technology innovations and business practices," Siu said.
