Internet and mobile security firm AVG Technologies has released an updated version of of Android mobile antivirus software, Mobilation AntiVirus Free for Android 2.12.
The new version will protect Android-based devices from viruses, malware, spyware and online exploitation in real-time.
The new mobile security application includes a data monitor feature that notifies users as they approach their monthly data limit and the ability to scan APK (Android application) files straight from the file system.
AVG Mobilation AntiVirus Free for Android 2.12 is available in both Free and Pro versions.
The mobile security application includes scan apps, settings, files and media in real time. It also includes Google Maps that helps the user find/locate a lost or stolen phone.
It can also lock, wipe a device to protect privacy, kill tasks that slow mobile devices, help in browsing the Web safely and securely and monitor battery, storage and mobile data package usage.
