Novell Inc’s long-serving CFO Jim Tolonen is quitting the company after 15 years, to be replaced, at least for the interim by Dennis Raney, the ex-CFO of ERP company QAD Inc and once of General Magic. Tolonen was rumored to be on his way out last July not long after the arrival of Eric Schmidt as CEO (CI No 3,203). Tolonen will stick around to see the company’s second quarter out which ends in April. Bert Moyer joins QAD as CFO on April 1 from Allergan Inc.
