Keyware Technologies NV, a biometric verification company, has opened up the Asian market by signing an original equipment manufacturer deal with Singapore-based Microcircuit Systems PTE Ltd. Brussels-based Keyware, which also has a US operation in Boston, offers security services for access control using technology based on unique user identification features such as voice, face and fingerprint.
Microcircuit initially specialized in electronic component repair, expanding to the design and development of electronic products and systems integration. With 30 electronics specialists, it targets the vertical sectors of telecommunications, defense, petrochemicals and government. The two companies will both sell Keyware’s layered biometric verification software, with training and marketing shared and open access to each other’s information for support purposes.
