Job site Monster.com, part of TPM Worldwide Inc, has swung a four-year, $100m deal with America Online Inc to be the exclusive provider of career management resources to the AOL brands. Advice and services from Monster.com are to be featured daily on AOL, AOL Canada, AOL.com, CompuServe, ICQ, Netscape NetCenter and Digital City. Members will be able to search and apply for jobs at co-branded sites. Monster.com also plans to make exclusive offers – job fairs and chats with career consultants – to AOL users.
In a separate deal, AOL announced a three-year relationship with Net2Phone Inc. Users of AOL Instant Messenger (AIM) will be given branded phone cards, enabling them to make PC-to-phone, phone-to- PC and conference calls, as well as sending faxes to and from PCs. AOL subsidiary CompuServe signed a similar deal with Net2Phone last week.
