Enterprise application integration vendor, New Era of Networks Inc has partnered with Opus Solutions Inc to deliver a hosted version of Opus’ web-based human resources management system that uses Neon’s Shadow OS/390 web server technology to access data from IBM DB2 databases. Opus’ HRMS PowerCube v 1.1 application is aimed at mid-sized companies that have difficulties running and managing the day-to-day HR functions within their businesses and want to outsource that to an ASP like Opus. HRMS PowerCube supports HR tasks such as benefits, payroll, investment planning, and position control. It accesses DB2 for OS/390 data and transactions on the IBM S/390 from any web browser using Neon’s Shadow OS/390 web server.
