Torrance, California-based Casio PhoneMate Inc has just announced an integrated telephone answering machine that also enables users to check electronic mail without having a personal computer connection. The phone has a three-line LCD display, supports the POP 3 standard and works with all compliant internet service providers, as well as online providers CompuServe and Prodigy. The IT-380 will be available in the second quarter for around $150.
