Freeserve Plc announced last week that it has headhunted Frank Keeling, a senior vice president and director of AOL Europe, to become its new COO. This is something of a coup for the market leading internet service provider, which overtook AOL UK in terms of subscribers at the beginning of the year due to its subscription-free offer. Keeling will replace Mark Danby, one of Freeserve’s founders, who will take up a new role as non-executive director, as well as joining a new investment vehicle in which Freeserve intends to invest. No addition details of the new venture were available at press time.
