– Microsoft attorney Michael Lacovara has spent all week trying to catch Fisher in an error of detail, so it was with rather unholy glee that Boies and Fisher caught Lacovara in a similar trap. Lacovara had claimed that a question on an MDC survey had been constant. The kindest thing I can say about this is that Mr Lacovara is severely misinformed, said Fisher smugly. To his credit, Lacovara took it on the chin.
– The week’s long argument about distribution methods for Netscape Navigator and their impact on browser usage ended with another of Fisher’s dry jokes. Netscape could pay the Marines to hand-deliver the browser to every home in the United States, he said. That still wouldn’t be an efficient way of getting people to use it. Or maybe it would. People have great respect for the Marines. You never know.
