Vision Group Plc, the Edinburgh, Scotland-based camera on a chip company, is involved in talks that may lead to the takeover of the company. A pioneer in CMOS-based (complementary metal oxide) vision sensors, Vision has failed to make money and losses were up from 1.4m pounds to 5.8m pounds last year on revenues down 28% at 8.4m pounds. Salvation for the tiny 90-strong company appeared this year in the form of a partnership with Siemens AG (CI No 3,480), and Siemens must be one of the favorites to take the company over.
