DAOU Systems Inc, the San Diego, California-based supplier of computer systems to the health care industry, has issued a profit warning, claiming that Y2K has had a greater-than-expected impact, with customers delaying implementation of new systems. DAOU expects a loss of $0.17 for the fourth quarter, as its figures will also be hit by additional reserves allocated to closed down business units and lower margins on its remaining large implementation contracts.
