Psion Plc – which produces the Epoc operating system, which forms the foundation of the Symbian joint venture – has appointed a new CEO. David Levin will replace Harold Goddijn, the current managing director, on 22 February. He joins Psion from Euromoney Plc. Levin is expected to help develop Symbian, formed with Ericsson AB, Nokia Oy and Motorola Inc earleir this year. Goddijn, who came to the company from Psion Nederland BV, has only held the managing directorship since June 1998. He replaced Colly Myers, former managing director, who resigned to become CEO of Symbian. Levin is expected to work alongside Psion’s chairman and founder David Potter.
